Overview and mission 

N2 is responsible for the management, administration, operations and maintenance of base telecommunications facilities and services as well as installation of inside/outside cables, whether leased, contracted, or government owned, including ONE-Net Outside Cable Plant (OSP) and ViViD.

The Base Communications Office (BCO) also manages outside calls made through DSN circuit, DSN-access requests, processes DSN validation reports submitted by commands /departments and provides DSN services to VIPs and Navy vessels while in port.
