Master Chief Ebony Pinnock, a native of Sacramento, Calif., graduated from Highlands High School in 1998 and entered the Navy under the delayed entry program. She attended basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill., in October 1998.
 
In February 1999, she reported for her first sea tour with Patrol Squadron Two Six, VP-26 Tridents, stationed in Brunswick, Maine, where she served as an undesignated Airman before striking into the Aviation Storekeeper rating. Master Chief Pinnock transferred from VP-26 as a First Class Petty Officer to Aircraft Intermediate Maintenance Unit in Rota, Spain. She decommissioned AIMU and transferred to Commander Electronic Attack Wing Pacific Aviation Support Division to complete her shore tour. In 2007, she transferred to Electronic Attack Squadron One Four Zero, VAQ-140 Patriots.
 
After completing a sea tour with VAQ-140, where she was selected to Chief Petty Officer, she transferred to Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Maritime Pearl Harbor as the Senior Enlisted Leader and Submarine Expediting Operations Leading Chief Petty Officer in support of Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard.  In April 2013, she transferred to Naval Special Warfare Logistics and Support Unit THREE in Pearl City, Hawaii to serve as the Supply Department Leading Chief Petty Officer. In June 2016, she reported for duty to Fleet Air Reconnaissance Seven, VQ-7 Roughnecks as the inaugural Command Senior Chief and was selected to Master Chief in 2017.  She served Fleet Air Reconnaissance Three, VQ-3 Ironman Squadron as Command Master Chief from April 2018 to May 2021.  In June 2021, she reported to Navy Information Operations Command Pensacola and serves as Command Master Chief.
 
Master Chief Pinnock is a graduate of the United States Navy Senior Enlisted Academy (Class 191-GREEN), the Command Master Chief Capstone Course (Class 159), and the Navy Senior Leader Seminar (Center for Executive Education at Naval Postgraduate School). She earned a Master of Science degree in Organizational Leadership from Southern New Hampshire University. 
 
Her awards include: Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Joint Service Commendation Medal; Navy Commendation Medal (three awards); Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (six awards) and various unit and campaign awards.
