Master Chief Valentin is a native of Georgia and graduated from Creekside High School in 2005. He enlisted in the Navy in July 2010 and completed basic training at Great Lakes. He holds an associate in applied science in Technical Studies from Excelsior College.
His operational assignments include Navy Information Operations Command (NIOC) Georgia, where he deployed six times on board the USS Annapolis (SSN 760), USS Helena (SSN 725), USS Virginia (SSN 774), USS Norfolk (SSN 714), and USS Albany (SSN 753). He served on board the USS Princeton (CG 59), where he deployed in 2020 during an 11-month COVID deployment to the 5th and 7th Fleet Areas of Responsibility (AOR). He also served on board the USS Truman (CVN 75) where he deployed during Operations Neptune Shield and Poseidon Archer in the Red Sea AOR from September 2024 to June 2025.
His shore assignments include NIOC Maryland, Md., NIOC Denver, Colo, Afloat Training Group San Diego, Calif., and Information Warfare Training Command (IWTC) San Diego, Calif., where he was the N73 Department Leading Chief Petty Officer and assumed the duties of Senior Enlisted Leader for IWTC San Diego in March 2023.
In September 2025, he reported as Command Senior Enlisted Leader, Naval Information Warfare Training Group in Virginia Beach, Va., which is responsible for three subordinate commands, two detachments, and two reserve commands.
CTTCM Valentin holds an associate’s degree in applied science and is a graduate of the Senior Enlisted Academy (270) and CMC / COB course. His qualifications and awards include the Information Warfare, Submarine Warfare, and Surface Warfare Specialist insignias, Combat Action Ribbon, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, Joint Service Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal and other various unit and campaign awards.
