Master Chief Information Systems Technician Steven Schultz

Senior Enlisted Leader, Naval Computer and Telecommunications Strategic Communications Unit (NCTSCU) Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

21 September 2020 Master Chief Information Systems Technician Steven Schultz, a native of Los Angeles, California, enlisted in the United States Navy in January 1996 and attended Recruit Training in Great Lakes, Illinois.

Master Chief Schultz attended Radioman “A” school in San Diego, California from May 1996 – July 1996 and then reported aboard USS Mount Whitney (LCC 20) as a local area network administrator. Subsequent sea and shore duty commands include: Commander, Maritime Prepositioning Ships Squadron (COMPSRON) 1 as network administrator; Joint Communications Unit, Fort Bragg, North Carolina as a special operations radio operator; Joint Analysis Center, Molesworth, England as Navy element senior enlisted commanders advisor; USS Whidbey Island (LSD 41) as the operations department leading chief petty officer (LCPO) and U.S. Fleet Cyber Command, Suffolk, Virginia as senior enlisted leader and command cyber security inspector; USS George H.W. Bush (CVN 77) as the combat systems department LCPO.


Master Chief Schultz reported aboard NCTSCU Detachment Oklahoma City in September 2018 as the senior enlisted leader.

Master Chief Schultz is designated Enlisted Information Warfare Specialist and Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist; completed his associate’s degree in computer studies from University of Maryland University College and graduate of the Senior Enlisted Academy Class 173.

Along with unit and campaign awards, Master Chief Schultz personal awards include Defense Meritorious Service Medals, Joint Commendation Medals, Navy Commendation Medals, Joint Service Achievement Medals and Navy/Marine Corps Achievement Medals.
