Lt. Cmdr. Timothy Gallegos is a native of San Antonio, Texas.  He is a NAVET and served 19 years as an enlisted with five years as a Chief Petty Officer (CPO).  He was commissioned as an Ensign in May 2009 under the LDO/CWO program. 
His sea service includes successful tours as COMDESRON TWO THREE N6 embarked USS THEODORE ROOSEVELT (CVN-71), Communications Officer, Electronics Material Officer, Information Assurance Manager, Electronic Key Management System Manager aboard USS SCOUT (MCM-8), USS DEVASTATOR (MCM-6), USS NIMITZ (CVN-68), and USS JOHN C STENNIS (CVN-74).  He successfully completed three Board of Inspection Survey (INSURV) assessments, numerous exercises, and eight deployments to the Western Pacific and Indian Ocean.
His shore assignments include NR ABFC 3 LANT Det 310, NR COMLOG WESTPAC, NR Naval and Computer Telecommunications Station (NCTS) Bahrain, NCTS San Diego, and Navy Information and Operations Command Pensacola, completing several Inspector General assessments and a Cyber Security Inspection.
Lt. Cmdr. Gallegos is a graduate of Southern Illinois University with a Bachelors and Masters in Education.  He is qualified SWO, IW, and is designated as a Master Training Specialist.
Lt. Cmdr. Gallegos screened for XO and was selected for orders as the Officer in Charge NCTAMS PAC Det Puget Sound and assumed those duties on 18 December 2020.
Lt. Cmdr. Gallegos is a veteran of GULF WAR I and II and has been awarded the Navy Marine Corps Commendation Medal (six awards) and Navy Marine Corps Achievement Medal (four awards).
