Lt. Cmdr. Alanna B. Youngblood

Lt. Cmdr. Youngblood is a native of Texas, and commissioned from the U.S. Naval Academy in 2009.
As a Surface Warfare Officer, she served as Auxiliaries Officer and Ordinance Officer on board USS Stethem (DDG-63) stationed in Yokosuka, Japan from 2009 to 2011. She then laterally transferred to the Meteorology and Oceanography (METOC) community and served as the Maritime Principle Assistant at Fleet Weather Center San Diego from 2011 to 2015; a Personnel Exchange Program Officer as a Contingency Forecaster for Joint Meteorology and Oceanography Centre, London, UK from 2015 to 2017; and the Staff METOC Officer for CSG-2. She is currently serving as the Executive Officer of Naval Information Warfare Training Group San Diego.
Lt. Cmdr. Youngblood earned a Master’s Degree in Meteorology and Physical Oceanography from Naval Post-Graduate School and a Bachelor of Science degree in Oceanography from the U.S. Naval Academy.
She has been awarded the Navy Commendation Medal (third gold star), the Navy Achievement Medal, as well as various service medals and unit awards.
