Master Chief Brandon Faulkner

Command Master Chief Faulkner is a native of Virginia, and graduated from Bland High School in May 2000. He entered the U.S. Navy in July 2000 and attended Basic Training at Recruit Training Command Great Lakes, Ill. Following Basic Training, he attended Cryptologic Technician Collection (CTR) “A” school and multiple follow-on “C” schools at Center for Information Dominance Corry Station in Pensacola, Fla.
His sea duty assignments include on board USS Arthur W. Radford (DD 968) as a COBLU LRIP Operator / Supervisor; Naval Security Group Activity (NSGA) Norfolk, Va., where he deployed as a Cryptologic Direct Support Element Supervisor on board USS Carney (DDG 64); and USS Donald Cook (DDG 75) as OT Division LCPO and Operations Department LCPO.
His shore duty assignments include Navy Recruiting District Michigan where he was stationed at Navy Recruiting Station Grand Rapids as a Recruiter and later assumed the duties of Recruiter-In-Charge of Navy Recruiting Station Muskegon; and Navy Information Operations Command (NIOC) Hawaii where he served in multiple Senior Enlisted Leader capacities at NSA / CSS Hawaii.
In 2016 he was selected for the Command Master Chief (CMC) Program and served as CMC of Coastal Riverine Squadron TWO in Virginia Beach, Va. During this tour, he completed a deployment as the CMC of Commander Task Group 56.7. In August 2018, he reported as the CMC of Commander Naval Information Warfare Training Group Headquarters and Naval Information Warfare Training Group Norfolk. In September 2020, he reported as the CMC of Naval Computer and Telecommunications Area Master Station Atlantic.
He is a graduate of the Navy’s Senior Enlisted Academy (Class 193, Gray Group) where he received the Surface Navy Association Naval Heritage Award and City of Newport, R.I. Academic Award; and a graduate of the Command Master Chief / Chief of the Boat Course (Class 157).
Master Chief Faulkner is designated Enlisted Information Dominance Warfare Specialist, Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist, Enlisted Expeditionary Warfare Specialist. His personal awards include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corp Commendation Medal (2 awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (7 awards), Good Conduct Medal (6 awards), various unit and service commendations. Additionally, he is a 2013 AFCEA Copernicus Award recipient.
