Master Chief Petty Officer Kimberly Ferguson is a Florida native. She entered the Navy in October 1993 at Recruit Training Command in Orlando, Florida and attended Cryptologic Technician Administrative "A" School in Pensacola, Florida.  She was converted to the Yeoman rating in 2007.
 
Her military and civilian education include:  Cryptologic Technician Administrative "A" and "C” Schools, Substance Abuse Rehabilitation Counselor School, and Naval leadership courses.  She's a graduate of the Navy's Senior Enlisted Academy (Class 184/Gold), the Command Master Chief/Chief of the Boat Course (Class #151).  She earned a bachelor's degree in Psychology from Excelsior University.
 
Her previous duty stations include Naval Technical Training Center in Pensacola, Florida; Naval Security Group Activity in Yokosuka, Japan; Naval Reserve Security Group/Fleet Information Warfare Center in San Diego, CA; Substance Abuse Rehabilitation Counselor at Naval Station San Diego in San Diego, California; Navy Information Operations Command in Fort Gordon, Georgia; Naval Special Warfare Development Group in Virginia Beach, Virginia and Naval Station Rota, Spain.
 
Her deployments and forward experience include multiple Joint Task Force deployments and USS GUNSTON HALL (LSD-44).  Additionally, she led Naval Station Rota during Operation ALLIES REFUGE and ALLIES WELCOME receiving 2,619 U.S. and Afghan civilians during the emergency evacuation of Afghanistan.
 
Master Chief Ferguson’s awards and decorations include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (three awards), Navy Commendation Medal (six awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (six awards), and various other personal and unit awards.
