Senior Chief Petty Officer Prescott is an Alaskan Native who enlisted in the Navy from Oregon in 2002. She graduated from the Chinese Mandarin language program at Defense Language Institute in October 2004 and reported to Navy Information Operations Command (NIOC) Hawaii. During her first tour, she qualified and served as an advanced R/T operator on the watch floor and advanced to Second Class Petty Officer.
She continued to serve at NIOC Hawaii on the watch floor and in Direct Support Surface roles until 2011. While in Direct Support she provided valuable Indications and Warning to the Fleet, and AOR specific training to her peers. During this period of time, she qualified as R/T supervisor and advanced to First Class Petty Officer.
From 2011 to 2015, while at NIOC Fort Meade, Senior Chief Prescott supported NSA/CSS Washington strategic mission objectives for national customers and earned her Enlisted Information Warfare Specialist qualification.
In January of 2015 she returned to NIOC Hawaii to serve on 505 Combat Mission Team, where her technical expertise was critical to the team reaching Initial and Fully Operational Capabilities. She advanced to Chief Petty Officer in September 2016.
From March 2018 to November 2021, Senior Chief Prescott served at Information Warfare Training Site Hawaii where she instructed Chinese Mandarin Apprentice Cryptologic Language Program. She earned her Master Training Specialist qualification and was selected as Information Warfare Training Command San Diego 2020 Senior Instructor of the Year. In November 2021 she checked Cryptologic Warfare Activity 67 at Fort Meade Maryland, where she is currently serving as the Command Senior Enlisted Leader.
Senior Chief Prescott was awarded an Associates in Chinese Mandarin Language Studies from Defense Language Institute and holds various decorations and awards, including Master Training Specialist, Joint Service Commendation Medal (4), Navy Commendation Medal (2), Navy Achievement Medal, and various unit awards.
