Lt. Cmdr. Eric Lensmire

Lt. Cmdr. Eric Lensmire is a native of Wisconsin. He attended the University of Wisconsin and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, graduating with Bachelor of Arts degrees in Political Science and Finance. He holds a Master of Arts degree in Defense and Strategic Studies from the United States Naval War College.
Lt. Cmdr. Lensmire commissioned in the United States Navy via Officer Candidate School in March 2011. Following Hometown Area Recruiting Assistance Program duty, Lt. Cmdr. Lensmire completed Information Warfare Basic School in July 2011 at Corry Station, Pensacola, Fla.
Lt. Cmdr. Lensmire reported to Navy Information Operations Command (NAVIOCOM) Hawaii in July 2011, serving as Fleet Information Operations Command Battle Watch Captain, Analysis & Production Division Officer, Information Operations Division Officer, and the Commanding Officer’s Action Officer. While at NAVIOCOM Hawaii, Lt. Cmdr. Lensmire completed a direct support tour in the western Pacific, embarked in USS Blue Ridge (LCC 19), serving as 7
th Fleet Maritime Intelligence Operations Center Watch Officer. During this deployment, Lt. Cmdr. Lensmire completed his Cryptologic Warfare (designator 1810) qualification. Upon returning to NAVIOCOM Hawaii, he completed the Information Warfare Officer qualification.
Lt. Cmdr. Lensmire reported to NAVIOCOM Bahrain in September 2014. He qualified as an EP-3E Special Evaluator and Naval Aft Observer, and deployed aboard a coastal patrol craft for special projects. Additionally, he served as N3 Operations Officer, N6 Department Head, Crew Resource Management Facilitator, and Naval Air Training and Operating Procedures Standardization program lead during his tenure at NAVIOCOM Bahrain.
Lt. Cmdr. Lensmire reported to United States Cyber Command (USCYBERCOM) in September 2016. In the J39 Strategic Effects and Special Programs Branch, he managed multiple compartmented programs and joint cyber planning efforts. While stationed at USCYBERCOM, Lt. Cmdr. Lensmire completed the United States Naval War College Fleet Seminar Program, Joint Professional Military Education Phase I, and his joint tour.
Lt. Cmdr. Lensmire reported to United States Navy Forces Central Command (NAVCENT)/5
th Fleet in October 2019. As a member of the N39 Information Operations Cell, LCDR Lensmire was assigned as overall deputy team lead, and was responsible for cyberspace planning and the management of compartmented programs. In November 2020, Lt. Cmdr. Lensmire reported to the NAVCENT N2 as the 5
th Fleet Cryptologic Resource Coordinator (CRC). In addition to his role as 5
th Fleet CRC, Lt. Cmdr. Lensmire served as the NAVCENT N2 Collection Manager from September 2021 until January 2022, when he became the NAVCENT N2 Deputy Collections Chief.
Lt. Cmdr. Lensmire reported to U.S. Naval Computer and Telecommunications Station, Sicily in February 2023 as the Executive Officer. He is the recipient of multiple operational, unit, and individual awards.
