Chief Warrant Officer Chief Warrant Officer 4 Mark Lemley was raised in Alabama, and reported to recruit training at Great Lakes, Ill., in 1996.  He earned an Associated of Arts in Arabic Studies from the Defense Language Institute in July 2007.
 
Chief Warrant Officer 4 Lemley reported to the U.S. Navy Ceremonial Guard in October 1996 where he participated and led more than 2,500 funerals in Arlington Cemetery, the 1996 Presidential Inauguration, and the exhumation of the Vietnam Unknown Solider. He then completed the basic Arabic course at the Defense Language Institute in Monterey, Calif., and reported to Naval Security Group Activity Rota, Spain in February 2001. He qualified as a Naval Aircrewman, Enlisted Aviation Warfare Specialist, EP-3 Mission Supervisor and NATOPS Instructor while supporting Operations Southern Watch, Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom.
 
In February 2005, Chief Warrant Officer 4 Lemley reported to Naval Security Group Activity Fort Gordon, Ga., and led the transition of the air support mission from Spain.  He deployed extensively in support of European and Central Command objectives aboard EP-3 aircraft.  He was selected for Chief Petty Officer in 2007, and transferred to the National support mission at NSA / CSS Georgia in 2008 where he served as NCOIC and division Leading Chief Petty Officer and the NIOC Georgia Funeral Detail LCPO.
 
Chief Warrant Officer 4 Lemley was selected for Airborne Special Projects in May 2010, and was promoted to Senior Chief Petty Officer in July 2010.  He served as Senior Enlisted Leader and coordinated the disestablishment of Navy Information Operations Detachment, Jacksonville, Fla.  
 
He was commissioned on 1 November 2012 and transferred to Navy Information Operations Command Hawaii, where he qualified as Cryptologic Warfare Officer and Information Warfare Officer.  In February 2016 he reported to Cryptologic Warfare Maritime Activity SIXTY ONE as the OIC of the Surface Special Projects team, where he directed a clandestine seaborne mission in support of top national intelligence priorities.
 
In May 2019, Chief Warrant Officer 4 Lemley reported Navy Information Operations Command Georgia as the lead Airborne Cryptologic Special Evaluator Instructor and NATOPS Officer.  He reported to his current assignment in 2021 as Officer-In-Charge, Naval Information Warfare Training Detachment Whidbey Island, Weapons and Tactics Unit, and leads the training and certification programs for all 10th Fleet aircrew operations.
 
Chief Warrant Officer 4 Lemley is an Eagle Scout, an avid football fan, and a terrible kayaker.
