Chief Warrant Officer Karim Abunimeh is a native of Illinois. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy in September of 1999. After graduating boot camp, he reported to Information Systems Technician, “A” School. His first duty station was at the Indo Pacific Command where he served as an Emergency Action Communications Controller. He was then selected for the Naval Aircrew program. He completed Naval Aircrew Candidate school in September of 2003 and was assigned to VQ-3 as an Airborne Communications Supervisor on the E6-B as part of the Take Charge and Move out “TACAMO” program.
He commissioned as a Chief Warrant Officer in September of 2015. His tours include USS Nimitz, NCTAMS PAC, VQ-1, VAQ-134, and Afloat Training Group Middle Pacific. Throughout his career, he has held major job duties such as Information Systems Security Manager, EMKS Manager, ADP Officer, and Communications Officer.
