Master Chief Pedraza, a native of New York, attended basic training at RTC Great Lakes, Ill., in 2000.  Upon graduation from basic training, he attended Aviation Electronics Technician “A” school and Air Crew school he was assigned to Patrol Squadron ONE (VP-1) in Whidbey Island, Wash.  During this tour he qualified as a P3 In-flight technician and the command’s primary NATOPS instructor.  In this capacity he was responsible for the training and qualifications of all the command’s In-flight technicians.  During this tour Master Chief Pedraza completed three deployments to both 5th and 6th Fleet AORs.  After four and a half years at VP-1, Master Chief Pedraza transferred to Air Test and Evaluation squadron TWO ZERO in Paxtuxent River, Md., where he worked on several new avionics’ instillations on P3 aircraft.
 
In 2009 Master Chief Pedraza reported to Patrol Squadron THREE ZERO (VP-30) in Jacksonville, Fla., where he served as a Fleet Replacement Squadron Instructor and the lead P3 NATOPS evaluator responsible for training and qualifying the Fleets In-flight technicians.  In this assignment CMC Pedraza earned his Master Training Specialist qualification and was promoted to Senior Chief Petty Officer.  As a Senior Chief he held the billet as the Senior Enlisted Leader for the VP-30 Squadron Augment Unit.
 
After his tour at VP-30, Master Chief Pedraza reported to Fleet Logistics Support Squadron FIVE EIGHT (VR-58) in Jacksonville, Fla., where he served as the Quality Assurance Officer and as the command’s Maintenance Master Chief.  Durning this tour Master Chief Pedraza earned his C-40 Crew Chief qualification and his C-40 Safe for Flight qualification.  In this tour Master Chief Pedraza applied for and was accepted to the Command Master Chief program.  He also oversaw 12 detachments to 5th, 6th, and 7th Fleets.     

In May of 2019 Master Chief Pedraza reported to Fighter Composite Squadron ONE ONE ONE (VFC-111) in Key West, Fla.  During this tour he was advanced to Command Master Chief and helped to lead the world’s busiest adversary squadron.  
 
In April of 2022 Master Chief reported to USS Truxtun (DDG 103) as the Command Master Chief where he completed a 10-month deployment to the 5th and 6th Fleet AORs.  In February 2024 CMC Pedraza reported as the first Command Master Chief of NETWARCOM in Suffolk, Va.    

Master Chief Pedraza holds a master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling for the University of North Fla.  He is a graduate of the U.S. Navy Senior Enlisted Academy.  His awards include the Meritorious Service Medal, the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (three awards), the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (three awards), and various unit and campaign awards.
