Capt. Jaime Hill, a Nebraskan native, was raised in Fresno, Calif. She graduated from the United States Naval Academy in 2000 with a Bachelor of Science in Physics where she commissioned as a Surface Warfare Officer. In 2004, she lateral transferred into the Information Warfare Community as an Information Professional Officer. She graduated from the University of Maryland, University College in 2009 with a Master of Science in Information Technology.
Her operational assignments include tours as Assistant Navigation Officer and Aft Plant Officer in USS Kearsarge (LHD-3) which included a deployment in support of Operation Enduring Freedom; Training Officer in USS Porter (DDG-78) which included a deployment in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom; Staff Communications Officer for Destroyer Squadron 26 in USS Harry S. Truman (CVN-75) which included Hurricane Katrina relief efforts; the maiden deployment Combat Systems Officer in USS Freedom (LCS-1) Gold Crew; and the Assistant Chief of Staff (ACOS) for Communications, Computers, Command and Control, and Intelligence (C5I) for Carrier Strike Group FIVE / Commander, Task Force SEVEN ZERO – the only Forward Deployed CSG – on board USS Ronald Reagan (CVN-76).
Shore assignments include tours as Fleet Forces Information Technology Asset Manager at Naval Network Warfare Command; Chief of Operations, C4 Systems Directorate (CCJ6) Joint Cyberspace Communications Center at United States Central Command which included a deployment in support of Operation Freedom’s Sentinel in Afghanistan; Deputy Executive Assistant to the Deputy Chief of Naval Operations for Information Warfare (OPNAV N2N6); Executive Officer / Chief Staff Officer at Naval Computer and Telecommunications Area Master Station Atlantic; and ACOS for Command and Control, Communications, and Computer Information Systems (N6) for Commander, U.S. SECOND Fleet and ACOS for Communications and Information Systems and Cyberspace (J6) for Commander, Joint Force Command Norfolk.
She is honored and privileged to have commanded Naval Communications Telecommunications Area Station Detachment Rota Spain, serving alongside the finest Officers, Chief Petty Officers, and Sailors in the United States Navy.
Her last assignment was Operations Officer for Naval Information Warfighting Development Center (NIWDC). As of August 2024, she is now the Commanding Officer of Naval Communications Telecommunications Area Master Station, Pacific (NCTAMS PAC).
Her personal awards include the Legion of Merit (two awards), Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (four awards), Joint Service Commendation Medal, Joint Service Achievement Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (two awards), and Navy-Marine Corps Achievement Medal.
