Master Chief Brannon hails from Nevada.  She entered the Navy in August 2002.  Upon completion basic training, she attended Cryptologic Technician Operations “A” School in Pensacola, Fla.  Her first tour was at the Office of Naval Intelligence Suitland, Md.  While there, she operated automated messaging systems and managed the Consolidated Network Operations Security Center supporting ONI and all tenant commands.  During this tour, she was promoted to Third Class Petty Officer.
 
In June of 2005 she reported Fleet Air Reconnaissance Squadron Two (VQ-2) in Rota, Spain. While at this assignment, she conducted the Home Port Shift to Whidbey Island, Wash., and deployed three times to the USCENTCOM and USSOUTHCOM Areas of Responsibility supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.  During this tour, she was promoted to Second Class Petty Officer and qualified as an Enlisted Aviation Warfare Specialist.
 
In August 2008, she reported to HQ USNORTHCOM in Colorado Springs, Colo.  During this time, she was assigned to the VTC support team and the General Officer / Flag Officer support team, providing helpdesk support to senior officers throughout the command.  While there, she was selected as HQ USNORTHCOM’s Non-Commissioned Officer of the Year and was promoted to First Class Petty Officer.
 
In July of 2011, she reported to SEAL Team Two in Virginia Beach, Va.  While there, she deployed twice to Special Operations Task Force Southeast in support of Operation Enduring Freedom-Afghanistan.  During this tour, she was promoted to Chief Petty Officer and qualified in both Enlisted Expeditionary Warfare Specialist and Enlisted Information Warfare Specialist.
 
In November 2014, she reported to The Joint Staff, Washington, D.C.  While there she served as the Senior Presidential Communicator for the Washington-Moscow Hotline and was responsible for maintaining the Presidents private communication line.  During this tour, she was promoted to Senior Chief Petty Officer. 
 
In November of 2018 she reported to Cryptologic Warfare Activity Sixty-Seven at Fort Meade, Md., where she served as a Department Leading Chief Petty Officer and as the Senior Enlisted Leader for the Capabilities Service Center providing global network service performance and availability throughout the NSA’s extended enterprise and oversaw the Director of the NSA’s Executive Communications Unit.
 
In November of 2021 she reported to OPNAV working on the CNO’s personal staff as the Senior Enlisted Communicator for the Chief of Naval Operations, Vice Chief of Naval Operations and Master Chief Petty Officer of the Navy.  While there she was promoted to Master Chief Petty Officer.
 
Master Chief Brannon reported to Cryptologic Warfare Activity Sixty-Seven in December of 2024 and is serving as the Command Senior Enlisted Leader.
 
Master Chief Brannon’s personal awards include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal (two awards), Joint Service Commendation Medal, Army Commendation Medal (two awards), Joint Service Achievement Medal (two awards), and Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (three awards).
