Lt. Cmdr. Jeremia “Jay” Hall, a native of Texas, enlisted in the Navy in November 1998 as a Cryptologic Technician Technical (CTT), eventually becoming a Chief Petty Officer. In 1999, he reported to the Presidential Honor Guard in Washington D.C., and in December 2001, he graduated from Cryptologic Technician Technical “A” school. In 2014, he was commissioned into the Limited Duty Officer Program and was subsequently selected as a restricted line officer in Cryptology in 2019. He holds an M.S. in Cybersecurity from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
His enlisted tours included NSGA Pearl Harbor, USS Chosin (CG 65), Navy Information Operations Detachment Kaneohe Bay Hawaii, and Navy Information Operations Command Colorado. He conducted multiple submarine, surface, and special project air deployments, including missions in Africa and Afghanistan, supporting OEF and OCO. In 2009, he was promoted to the rank of Chief Petty Officer. His qualifications include Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist, Naval Aircrewman, Enlisted Air Warfare Specialist, and Enlisted Submarine Specialist.
Lt. Cmdr. Hall served as Information Warfare Officer aboard USS
Port Royal (CG 73) from 2014 to 2016, leading information warfare and intelligence operations. He qualified as Tactical Action Officer, BMD Watch Officer, Anti-Air Warfare Coordinator, and Officer of the Deck. In 2016, he became Site Director at Information Warfare Training Site PACNORWEST, overseeing two disaggregated facilities and 16 CT / EW / IT / ET courses. In 2019, he reported to C5F N39 as the Unmanned Systems and Space Operations Planner, driving C-UxS sensor interoperability and earning his Space Cadre Qualification. In 2021, he served at NCR EUCOM as the tactical collections LNO and senior rep for real-time Ukraine war support. In 2023, he joined USINDOPACOM JIOC as J2T Targets Division Production Management Branch Chief, streamlining joint targeting operations, and JIOC Navy Element XO.
Lt. Cmdr. Hall’s personal awards include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal ( with two clusters), Air Medal (with the number
2), Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (four awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (four awards), Good Conduct Medal (five awards), and numerous personal, campaign and unit awards.
