A native of Louisiana, Master Chief Andrew “Drew” Pruitt enlisted in the Navy in August 2000.  Upon completion of Basic Training, he reported to John C. Stennis Space Center in Hancock County, Miss., for his first duty assignment.  During his tour, he completed three deployments to 5^th Fleet and SOUTHCOM AOR’s, where he promoted to Boatswains’ Mate Second Class and earned his Surface and Air Warfare Specialist designations.  Upon transfer, he reported to NTC Great Lakes to attend IT “A” School.  Upon graduating he transferred to NCTS Bahrain.

After his Bahrain tour was completed, he was selected to be an “A” school instructor at NAS Corry Station Pensacola.  Once he achieved his Master Training Specialist Designation he was selected to screen for Joint Special Operations Command where he completed five deployments to the Middle East AOR.  His follow-on tours include the USS McFaul, NSWDG, CBMU 202, COMDESRON 50/CTF 55 and EOD ESU 2.

He was selected to be the Command Senior Enlisted Leader for USCENTCOM’s Navy Element and the Commanders communication team where he deployed multiple time to the CENTCOM AOR.  After completion of his tour at CENTCOM he was assigned to NCTAMS LANT as the Security DLCPO, from there he was assigned to NCTS Hampton Roads as the Command Senior Enlisted Leader. 

Master Chief Pruitt has completed 14 deployments and is a graduate of the Senior Enlisted Academy.  His personal decorations include Defense Meritorious Service Medals, Navy & Marine Corps Commendation Medals, Combat Action Ribbon, Joint Service Achievement Medals, Navy & Marine Corps Achievement Medals, and numerous unit and expeditionary awards.
