Norfolk, Va. - Naval Information Forces (NAVIFOR) and Naval Information Warfighting Development Center (NIWDC) hosted a member of the Japanese Maritime Self Defense Force (JMSDF) on Monday, Feb. 26. From the left: CAPT Bryan Braswell, Commander, NIWDC; Rear Adm. Izuru Ikeuchi, Commander, Oceanography ASW Support Command (OAC); Ms. Liz Nashold, Deputy Commander, NAVIFOR; and RADM Takaaki Hayamizu, Defense and Naval Attaché, US Embassy of Japan. During the visit NAVIFOR and NIWDC leaders provided a familiarization brief on Navy Information Warfare capabilities, to include experiences from the current Information Warfare Commander (IWC) of Carrier Strike Group TWELVE.
