NCTS Sicily, strategically positioned in the central Mediterranean, executes continuous operations to ensure access and superiority within the electromagnetic (EM) and cyberspace domains for U.S, NATO, and coalition forces operating in the U.S. European Command (EUCOM), U.S. Africa Command (AFRICOM), and U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) areas of responsibility. Assigned as Task Unit 1010.6.1, NCTS Sicily operationally reports to U.S. Fleet Cyber Command, the Navy component commander to U.S. Cyber Command and U.S. Strategic Command. The command's long history of assured command and control in this vital region of world continues today under the watch of the NCTS Sicily crew, the Navy's premier operators in the EM and cyberspace domains.
