Senior Chief Information Systems Technician Shawn P. Beiser

Senior Chief Officer in Charge, Naval Computer and Telecommunications Strategic Communications Unit (NCTSCU) Paxtuent River

22 September 2020 A native of Norfolk, Virginia, Senior Chief Information Systems Technician Shawn P. Beiser enlisted in the Navy in October of 1998. He completed Recruit Training and IT 'A' school in Great Lakes, Illinois.

His first duty assignment was Naval Telecommunications Station Detachment Diego Garcia. Other assignments include USS Mount Whitney (LCC/JCC 20) in Norfolk; commissioned USS Nitze (DDG 94) in Norfolk; Commander, Operational Test and Evaluation Force (COMOPTEVFOR) in Norfolk; NTM-A/CSTC-A Kabul Afghanistan; USNS Graps (T-ARS 51) in Norfolk; Naval Computer and Telecommunications Area Master Station (NCTAMS) Detachment Hampton Roads Norfolk; commissioned USS Thomas Hudner (DDG116) in Mayport, Florida: USS Iwo Jima (LHD 7) in Mayport.


Senior Chief Beiser is currently serving as SCPOIC at NCTSCU Patuxent River, Maryland. 

Senior Chief Beiser's personal awards include Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (two awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (seven awards), Good Conduct (seven awards) and various other unit and campaign awards.
