Master Chief Sanico, a native of Virginia, enlisted in the Navy on May 25, 1998. Following graduation from basic Recruit Training, he reported to Naval Technical Training Command, Corry Station, Pensacola, Fla., where he completed Cryptologic Technician Maintenance “A” School and “C” School.
Upon graduation, he reported to his first duty station at Joint Forces Intelligence Command, Norfolk. In 2002, he took orders to Regional Headquarters Allied Forces South, Naples, Italy for overseas duty. In 2004, he reported aboard USS San Jacinto (CG 56) where he deployed twice to the Arabian Gulf in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
In 2007, he received orders to Navy Information Operations Command (NIOC), Norfolk where he was the Department Leading Chief Petty Officer for Fleet Electronic Support. In 2010, he was assigned to Navy Information Operations Detachment, Chesapeake for its de-commissioning. In 2011, he returned to NIOC, Norfolk to finish out his shore duty. In 2014, he reported aboard USS Mitscher (DDG 57) as the 3M Coordinator and deployed to the Arabian Gulf for Ballistic Missile Defense in support of Operation Inherent Resolve.
In 2017, he reported to Navy Cyber Warfare Development Group, Suitland, Md. as the N1 Administrative Department Chief and N3 Fleet Operations Department Chief. In 2019, he was promoted to Master Chief Petty Officer reported to U.S. Fleet Cyber Command / U. S. 10th Fleet as the CTM Rating Advisor to Commander, U.S. Fleet Cyber Command / U.S 10th Fleet. Following his tour, he reported to his current duty station at Navy Information Operations Detachment, Groton as the Senior Enlisted Advisor.
Additionally, Master Chief Sanico is a graduate of the U.S. Navy Senior Enlisted Academy Class 216 (Grey).
Master Chief Sanico is authorized to wear the Navy Commendation Medal (four awards), Joint Service Achievement Medal (four awards), Navy Achievement Medal (three awards), and various unit and campaign awards. He is qualified as an Enlisted Information Warfare Specialist and Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist. |
