Master Chief Acevez is an Arizona native. She joined the Navy in
September 2001 and attended Basic Training in Chicago, Illinois.
Upon completion of recruit training, she reported to the Corry Station in Pensacola, Florida for CTR “A”
School and “C” school. In September 2002 she reported to Naval Security Group Activity (NSGA) Bahrain,
where she served TAD onboard USS CONSTELLATION (CV-64) and USS NIMITZ (CVN-68).
Following that tour, she served onboard USS KEARSARGE (LHD-3). During her time onboard, she
completed one C6F/C5F Deployment, a surge deployment to C5F, advanced to First Class Petty Officer,
and earned both Enlisted Surface Warfare and Enlisted Air Warfare qualifications.
In 2006, she transferred to Navy Information Operations Command (NIOC) Suitland. There she served as
the SCMA Team Lead, completed a deployment onboard USS BLUE RIDGE (LCC-19) in 2008 and was the
Department Leading Petty Officer until her transfer in June 2009.
She was advanced to Chief Petty Officer in September 2009, shortly after reporting to Center for
Information Dominance (CID) Learning Site San Diego. There she was the Division LCPO of 16 Instructors
responsible for 15 “F” and “C” schools and significant course revisions. She earned the Master Training
Specialist (MTS) certification and Enlisted Information Warfare qualification.
In September 2012, she received orders to the USS BOXER (LHD-4) “C” School enroute. In February
2013, she reported onboard USS BOXER as the SSES LCPO. She extended onboard to complete two
C7F/C5F deployments.
In December 2016, she reported to United States Fleet Forces Command (USFFC) where she served in
the N2/39 Directorate as the CTF-80 Assistant Cryptologic Resource Coordinator (ACRC) responsible for
51 units. She was selected for Senior Chief Petty Officer in June 2017.
In September 2019, she reported to Commander, Carrier Strike Group FOUR. As the ACRC, she
mentored and trained during 10 deployment certification. After her selection to Master Chief Petty
Officer, she also performed as the CSG-4 Senior Enlisted Leader (SEL).
She reported to Cryptologic Warfare Maritime Activity Sixty One in March 2022, where she serves as the
Command SEL.
Her personal awards include the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy Commendation Medal (5 awards),
Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (5 awards) and various unit and service awards.
