Lt. Cmdr. Andrew P. Melton

Lt. Cmdr. Melton a native of Hawaii, and graduated from Clemson University in 2009 with a bachelor’s degree in History. He commissioned via OCS in Newport, R.I., in 2011. He graduated from the Naval Post Graduate School in 2020 with a Master’s of Science in Defense Analysis – Special Operations and Low Intensity Conflict and JPME 1.
Following graduation from Naval Intelligence Officer Basic Course in July 2012, he was assigned to USS Boxer (LHD 4) as the Assistant Ships Intelligence Officer conducting operations in the 5
th and 7
th fleet AORs. In the winter of 2015, Lt. j.g. Melton transferred to the USFK J2 watch floor in Seoul, South Korea as an Intelligence Watch Officer. Spring of 2016, Lt. Melton transferred to JAC MOLESWORTH in the United Kingdom, where he was an Analysts and Operations Officer for the Russia-Eurasia Division. Lt. Cmdr. Melton transferred to Carrier Strike Group Five / Commander Task Force 70 in Yokosuka, Japan as the N21 / Deputy N2 conducting the Afghanistan withdrawal and operations in the 7
th Fleet AOR. Lt. Cmdr. Melton is currently assigned as Executive Officer of NCMS on JB Andrews.
