Command Master Chief Steven M. Rinkavage, hails from North Carolina. He enlisted in the Navy in January 2000, attending Basic Training at Recruit Training Center, Great Lakes, Ill.
He attended Seaman ATD School, SERE School, Special Warfare Combatant Craft Crewman School, Special Operations Combat Medic course, Basic Airborne Parachute course, Independent Duty Corpsman “C” School, Deep Sea Diving School, Recruit Division Commander School, Senior Enlisted Academy Class 199 Orange, Command Master Chief Course, and Advanced Command Master Chief Course class 001.
CMDCM Rinkavage’s sea duty assignments include USS Simpson (FFG-56), SBT-20 MKV Det IV, SBT 22 SOC-R RTU-Three Iraq, EODMU2, NSWG-1 CJSOTF-I, USS Oakland GOLD (LCS-24), and USS Pearl Harbor (LSD52). His sea duty includes multiple combat deployments to Iraq, and 5

His shore tours include NMCP Portsmouth, V., NHCS Great Lakes, Ill., and the United States Naval Academy Annapolis, Md.
His current assignment is Command Master Chief, Navy Information Operations Command Pacific.
