Senior Chief Saptoro is a native of California. She enlisted in the Navy in December 2002.  After basic training, she attended EM “A” school in Charleston, S.C. and attained the rank of EM3 upon graduation.  In October 2004, she reported to USS Dwight D Eisenhower (CVN-69) and served as the V-4 Electrician for Air Department.  During her time aboard she attained the rank of EM2, completed post-yard workups, and deployed on an eight-month cruise.  In the interest of advancement, she applied to cross rate as a linguist. Upon acceptance, she attended the Basic Chinese Mandarin course at the Defense Language Institute in Monterey, Calif., from 2008 to 2010.  

In June 2010 she successfully completed the DLI course and graduated as a CTI2.  She then reported to Navy Information Operations Command Hawaii.  During this tour she qualified as a Mission Supervisor on the National watchfloor and attained the rank of CTI1.  After completing Naval Aircrew Candidate School and SERE training, she returned to NIOC Hawaii at Direct Support Air where she aided in the air mission transfer from NIOC Misawa to NIOC Hawaii.  She accrued more than 1,550 flight hours on more than 100 missions in support of National and Fleet mission tasking. 

Her next tour was again at NIOC Hawaii, working on the Fleet Information Operations Center Hawaii watchfloor in 2017.  Early in this tour, she was selected for Chief and assumed the duties as FIOC Battle Watch Chief, then Battle Watch Captain, and finally as Deputy Senior Watch Officer.  In January 2020, she finally broke free of NIOC Hawaii and reported to Commander, U.S. Pacific Fleet.  She qualified on the Operational Intelligence watchfloor as an Intelligence Watch Officer, served as the Operational Intelligence Department LCPO, and was selected for advancement to Senior Chief Petty Officer.

In February 2023, Senior Chief Saptoro reported to her current assignment at Cryptologic Warfare Activity 65.  She currently serves as a Deputy Senior Enlisted Leader for 300+ joint service members and is also the 10 Department Leading Chief Petty Officer to 80+ Sailors.

During her service, Senior Chief Saptoro was awarded the Joint Service Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medals, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, and various unit and campaign awards.
