Welcome to CSA-63!

UNIFORMS
The prescribed uniform of the day for CSA-63 during the winter months is Service Dress Blue. The alternate uniform is Winter Blue, with the Summer Khaki uniform authorized for E-7 and above personnel. During the summer, Summer White for E-7 and above; Service Dress White for E-6 and below. The alternate uniform is Summer Khaki for E-7 and above; Summer White for E-6 and below.

MESSING FACILITIES
If you initially arrive after working hours, present a copy of your orders at the dining facility for service. However, upon check-in, PSD will provide necessary information on use of the House of Four Hats dining facility. Rations in Kind and COMRATS cards will also be issued by PSD.

Officers may use the House of Four Hats Dining Facility on an occasional basis, although a floating surcharge will be levied.

FIREARMS
Immediately upon reporting, all privately owned firearms of personnel living in the BQ or in family quarters on Fort Meade must be registered with the Provost Marshal Registration Office on Mapes Rd. The use of air rifles and pistols on the Fort Meade reservation is strictly controlled. Such weapons should only be fired on appropriate ranges. BQ residents will store firearms in the armory, not in the barracks

TRANSPORTATION
Other than commercial taxi service, public transportation to, from, and around Fort Meade is practically non-existent. There is limited bus service from Baltimore-Washington to Fort Meade.  For information and up-to-date schedules, call: 410-539-5000. Taxi fare from BWI Airport to Fort Meade is approximately $20.

MEDICAL
Personnel reporting to CSA-63 must re-enroll in Tricare Prime. Fort Meade does not provide obstetrical services, however, support is available through three military hospitals within the Washington, D.C. area.
