Mr. David Beach
Mr. Beach is a native of Blue Hill, Nebraska. He enlisted in the United States Navy in January 1976. He honorably served 27 years and seven months.
His Navy career included tours at Recruit Training Command Great Lakes for boot camp, Radioman “A” School in San Diego and the following duty stations; NAVFAC Pacific Beach, NAVCOMSTA San Miguel Philippines, NAVFAC Grand Turks BWI, NCTS Detachment Chinhae Korea, USS/USNS Ponchatoula, Fleet Coordinating Group San Miguel Philippines, Yokota Air Base Japan, and Naval Radio and Transmitting Facility Capas Tarlac Philippines, where he was promoted to the rank of chief petty officer in 1989.
Upon advancement he was assigned to the USS Beaufort as the operations chief out of Sasebo, Japan and was advanced to the rank of senior chief petty officer while forward deployed during the first Persian Gulf War. After his transfer from the USS Beaufort he served at NCTS Far East Detachment Okinawa and NCTS Far East Detachment Misawa, where he retired in July of 2003.
His civilian tours include Space and Naval Warfare Center Yokosuka, Naval Air Facility Misawa, NCTS Far East Detachment Misawa, and the Veterans Administration. Mr. Beach assumed the duties as the NAVCOMTELSTA FAR EAST DET MISAWA LNSC director in November of 2016.
Mr. Beach’s Awards include the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy Commendation Medal (2), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (3), Combat Action Ribbon and various other campaign ribbons and medals.
