Command Master Chief Allen V. Keller, a native of Long Island, New York, graduated from Connetquot High School in June 1990. He enlisted in the Navy and reported for recruit training January 1993 in San Diego, California. Master Chief Keller completed Data Processing Technician Class 'A' and 'C' schools before reporting to USS Independence (CV 62) homeported in Yokosuka, Japan.

His subsequent sea and overseas duty assignments include USS Nimitz (CVN 68); USS George Washington (CVN 73) both homeported in Norfolk, Virginia; and DISA-Europe at Stuttgart, Germany, as the SATCOM systems manager. Deployments include service in South West Asia, Arabian Gulf, Persian Gulf, Mediterranean Sea, and Afghanistan.

His shore duty assignments include U.S. Atlantic Command, later renamed U.S. Joint Forces Command at Norfolk, Virginia; Joint Communications Unit (JCU), FT Bragg, North Carolina, where he served as automations leading chief petty officer (LCPO); he was subsequently selected for assignment as the J6 operations / plans LCPO at the Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC) also at Fort Bragg, and Naval Station Norfolk as an administrative department LCPO. His command master chief tours include USS Porter (DDG 78) forward deployed in Rota Spain, Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam and his present assignment at Cryptologic Warfare Group (CWG) 6.

Along with multiple unit and campaign awards, Master Chief Keller's personal awards include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal (5 awards), Meritorious Service Medal (2 awards), Joint Service Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (2 awards), Joint Service Achievement Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (4 awards), Air Force Commendation Medal and the Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal. He is qualified as an Enlisted Information Warfare Specialist, Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist, Enlisted Aviation Warfare Specialist, Expeditionary Warfare Specialist and designated as a naval parachutist.

Master Chief Keller holds an Associate of Science degree in business administration from Tidewater Community College, a Bachelor of Science in computer information systems from Excelsior College and a Master of Science in information systems management from Trident University.

He is a graduate of the Navy Senior Enlisted Academy Non-Resident Course (Class 13), Command Master Chief/Chief of the Boat Course (Class 124), Keystone Joint Senior Enlisted Leader Course (15-2), MCPON Command Senior Enlisted Leadership Seminar and Navy Senior Leader Seminar Course.
