Commander Chunhing Lo

CDR Chunhing Lo is a native of Fairport, New York. He graduated from Boston University with a Bachelors of Arts in Computer Science and commissioned through Naval Reserve Officers Training Corps in May 2004 as a Submarine officer. In 2013 he re-designated as an Information Professional officer.
His operational assignments included Damage Control Assistant and Assistant Weapons Officer on USS Los Angeles (SSN 688), which included multiple deployments to Western and Eastern Pacific, Military Advisor with Multi-National Security Transition Command – Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, and a mobilization as Communications Department Head in support of a Joint Special Operations Task Force.
His shore assignments included Lead Academic Instructor and Officer Candidate School Class Officer at Officer Training Command Newport, Global Network Operations and Security Center Battle Watch Captain at Naval Network Warfare Command, Joint Planning Support Element Joint Operations Planner with Navy Reserve Joint Enabling Capabilities Command, Executive Officer and Commanding Officer of Navy Reserve Naval Computers and Telecommunications Area Master Station Atlantic.
He now serves as the Executive Officer for Navy Cyber Defense Operations Command (NCDOC), Suffolk, Virginia.
He has served on teams that have been recognized with numerous awards is the recipient of various personal decorations and multiple campaign medals.
He is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional and works in the cybersecurity field.
