History

Established in 1990 as an Echelon 3 shore activity under COMNAVCOMTELCOM, as NAVCOMTELSTA (NCTS) Jacksonsville, which later became Naval Computer and Telecommunications Area Master Station Atlantic Detachment Jacksonville, Fla.  NCTAMS LANT Detachment Jacksonville is responsible for maintaining continuous support for the Department of Defense’s various missions and possess communications capabilities that span the globe.
