Chief Warrant Officer 2nd Class Ronnie Stowers
Chief Warrant Officer 2nd Class Ronnie Stowers is a native of Deer Trail, Colorado. He attended Deer Trail High School and Morgan Community College, obtaining his Associates of Art degree in General Studies. He enlisted in the Navy June 26, 2000 and completed Basic Training at Recruit Training Command (RTC) Great Lakes, Illinois, and Cryptologic Technician Communications “A” and “C” Schools at Naval Technical Training Center Corry Station, Pensacola, Florida.
His sea duty tours include Naval Security Group Activity Yokosuka Japan, Direct Support where he deployed on USS Cushing (DD 985), USS John S. McCain (DDG 56), and USS Juneau (LPD 10) from April 2001 until April 2004. His following tour was aboard USS Nimitz (CVN 68) as a radio leading petty officer from April 2004 to June 2006. He served aboard the USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70) as the ADP leading chief petty officer from August 2009 to May 2012, and during this time was promoted to the rank of chief petty officer and the senior chief petty officer. He was assigned to Commander, Carrier Strike Group (CCSG) 15 as the N6 department leading chief petty officer (LCPO) and frequency manager from June 2015 to June 2016 and was commissioned to chief warrant officer.
His shore duty assignments were Commander, Patrol and Reconnaissance Wing (CPRW) 1 from June 2006 to June 2009 where he served as the N6 automated information systems LCPO and Afloat Training Group Middle Pacific where he served as the communications LCPO from June 2012 to May 2015, and earned his Afloat Training Specialist designation.
He assumed the duties as Officer-in- Charge of NAVCOMTELSTA FAR EAST DET MISAWA JA on May 22, 2017.
CWO2 Stowers’ awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (five), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (four), Good Conduct Medal (five), and various campaign medals and unit awards.
