Command Master Chief Darin Vazquez is a native of Dover, Del.  He graduated from Clovis High School, Clovis, N.M., and received a Bachelor’s Degree from Tulane University, New Orleans, La.  He joined the Navy in 1996, attended recruit training at RTC Great Lakes, and completed the Electronics Technician training pipeline.
 
His operational assignments include USS Saipan (LHA-2), USS Howard (DDG-83) and USS Blue Ridge (LCC-19).  During these tours, he participated in operations in the Mediterranean Sea, Indian Ocean, Red Sea and throughout the Western Pacific area of operation. 
 
His shore assignments include Naval Support Activity, Naples, Italy and Training Support Center, Great Lakes, where he earned the Master Training Specialist certification. 
 
His Command Master Chief tours include Strike Fighter Squadron 115 “Eagles” (VFA-115) and USS Chancellorsville (CG 62).  He currently serves as the Command Master Chief of Naval Computer and Telecommunications Station Naples, Italy.
 
Command Master Chief Vazquez is an honors graduate of the U.S. Navy Senior Enlisted Academy, Class 169.  His personal awards include the Meritorious Service Medal, the Navy Commendation Medal and the Navy Achievement Medal, along with various other personal, unit and service awards.
