Senior Enlisted Leader Master Chief Brandi L. Anger
Master Chief Anger is a native of Arizonia. She enlisted in the Navy in August 1996 and completed Recruit Training in Great Lakes, IL followed by CTR ‘A’ school in Pensacola, Fla. She then reported to her first command, NSGA Northwest, located in Chesapeake, Va. in August 1997.
Anger attended Intermediate Signals Analysis Course in Pensacola, Fla. prior to reporting onboard USS Decatur (DDG 73) in October 2000. She earned her Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist qualification and completed two deployments. She then reported to Naval Recruiting District Phoenix as a Recruiter in August 2004. She later became the Recruiter-in-Charge of NRS Metro Center.
In October 2007, she reported to COMUSNAVCENT in Manama, Bahrain. After achieving the rank of Chief Petty Officer, she assumed the duties as the C5F Assistant Cryptologic Resource Coordinator. She attended Afloat Cryptologic Manager course in Pensacola, Fla. prior to reporting on board USS Howard (DDG 83) in February 2009. She completed two deployments to the Arabian Gulf.
In February 2012, she attended the Navy Instructor course in San Diego, Calif. prior to reporting to Navy Information Operations Command (NIOC) Menwith Hill in Harrogate, England. She served as Senior Enlisted Leader for Integrated Discovery Center – East (IDC-E) and was later selected to serve as Branch Chief. She achieved the rank of Senior Chief Petty Officer and earned her Information Warfare Specialist qualification. In May 2014, she transferred to NIOC Colorado where she served as a Deputy Mission Director, a Directorate Senior Enlisted Leader, and Deputy Chief of Technology for the IDC-W. She was awarded the prestigious On-The-Roof Gang Award in 2017 for her career achievements as a cryptologist.
In August 2017, she reported to COMPACFLT Detachment Intelligence Readiness Cell in San Diego, Calif. She served as Fleet CTR Rating Lead and the SSES Manpower and Readiness Manager for units in PACFLT. She achieved the rank of Master Chief Petty Officer. In September 2019, she reported to NIOC Yokosuka in Japan where she served as the Operations Leading Chief Petty Officer. In June 2020, she took over as NIOC Hawaii N3J Department Senior Enlisted Leader.
Master Chief Anger holds an Associate’s Degree in Business and attended the Senior Enlisted Academy in 2017. Her personal awards include Defense Meritorious Service Medal (2 awards), Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (7 awards), and various campaign, service, and unit awards.
