FROM THE OMBUDSMAN
Aloha PACIFIC and NCTAMS PAC Families,
I am your new Command Ombudsman, Diana Labrenz. Appointed by the Commanding Officer, I am here to serve as the information link between the command leadership and command families.
Ensuring a timely and accurate flow of information between Command and Families via social media, newsletters, emails, phone trees, carelines, etc., an Ombudsman also facilitates the smooth transition of Sailors and families during Permanent Change of Station (PCS) moves. We also offer vital support during natural and man-made disasters. We serve as a link to the Families during deployment (if any), mobilizations, or geographic separation.
I am trained, creditable, and certified to abide by the code of ethics as an Ombudsman. That includes maintaining confidentiality between the Sailors and families unless the matter falls under the list of mandatory reportable items.
