Mission and Vision
Mission:
As Task Group 1010.2, we provide global nuclear command, control, and communications operational reporting and support for ten Fixed Submarine Broadcast System (FSBS) sites around the globe. As NCTS Hampton Roads, we provide Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) node site operations and Radio Frequency systems support for United States Fleet Forces Maritime Operations Center, and provide Key Management Infrastructure (KMI) support for 17 local elements for Atlantic commanders.
What we do: We are the Navy’s premier Information Warfighters. We assure and secure Command and Control for National critical decision makers, providing FSBS, DISA, Defense Red Switch Network, voice and data communications. Our actions enable fleet operations and guaranteeing our strategic deterrent.
Command Vision: Sailor development and mentorship is the core tenant of my command philosophy, and has enabled us to succeed at our missions today. To ensure our Sailors continued success, we expect leaders in all levels of our command and at our sites, to invest in our Sailors, civilian personnel and contractors. Focus for Sailor growth is best categorized in the following three areas:
Professional – We make and attain personal targets of our trades, to include qualifications, professional certifications, educations, or advancement.
Command – We make a positive impact in the command’s mission through our skillsets – to include IT, Security, Key Management Infrastructure, Electronics Maintenance, Supply, Training, and Admin. We participate in command programs and command events and dedicate ourselves to our Shipmates’ success.
Self – We take time to recharge both ourselves and our loved ones via positive outlets. We find and engage with mentors – people that provide us both a sounding board and sage advice for navigating life, to include career, financial, family and spirituality.
